Poet and Nobel Laureate T.S. Eliot was born Sep. 26, 1888 in St. Louis, Missouri. He became a British subject in 1927 - the same year that he converted to the Anglican Church. Increasingly conservative and bloated with self-importance as his life progressed, occasionally anti-Semitic and regularly misogynist.
